To engage our community and share Berthoud’s historical significance.
Our Vision Statement
The Berthoud Historical Society will keep history alive by being the first source for history education, research and experience for all.
The Berthoud Historical Society will achieve its vision by:
  • Be readily identified as the community resource for Berthoud and Little Thompson Valley history
  • Have an increased presence in the town of Berthoud and Larimer County planning processes to support historical preservation and education
  • Maintaining and improving the facilities of the museum complex on Mountain Ave. and the McCarty-Fickel Home Museum
  • Actively and openly collaborate with other historical and educational institutions
  • Ensure a balanced budget supported by donations, revenue generation, grants and endowments
  • Develop a membership of significant size and diversity that is actively involved in the Society
  • Create and implement plans for each museum (programs, exhibits and physical structures), volunteer engagement and training, marketing, development and communications

该协会成立于 1976 年，当时 Berthoud 市长 RB Fickel 博士邀请有兴趣的人开会，目的是成立一个当地历史协会。1977 年 2 月 22 日，科罗拉多州将 Berthoud 历史协会注册为法人，该协会正式成立。
