Stargazing at the Bunyan Observatory
Museo de los pioneros del valle de Little Thompson 224 Mountain Avenue, Berthoud, CO, United StatesEl Observatorio Bunyan en el Museo de los Pioneros de Little Thompson Valley es una réplica funcional del observatorio astronómico en el patio que el banquero John Bunyan construyó en su casa de Berthoud en 1933.
Equipado con el telescopio Brashear original de Bunyan (6 pulgadas de diámetro y casi 7 pies de largo), el observatorio es una exhibición durante el horario habitual del museo y un sitio para la observación pública de las estrellas el primer viernes por la noche de cada mes a partir del anochecer.

“Boulder’s Fort Chambers: A Call to Reckon with our History and Build Right Relationships with Indigenous Peoples Today”Tuesday, September 9, 2025

Berthoud Recreation Center Community RoomThis important program explores Fort Chambers, one of the staging grounds for the 1864 Sand Creek Massacre, where 230 Cheyenne and Arapaho people were killed. Presenters will share the story of what happened there, its lasting consequences, and how reflection on this history can guide us toward building respectful and positive relationships with Indigenous peoples today.
