Tour 4 Berthoud Farmstead Barns
Saturday, September 14, 2024
Morning Tour – Begins at 9 am Sharp
Afternoon Tour – Begins at 1 pm Sharp
There will be a presentation at each barn every hour.
For over a decade, Berthoud Historical Society leaders and members have discussed hosting a BARN TOUR of local barns. As housing and retail development increases, the need to view and appreciate barns from Berthoud’s Agricultural Heritage has taken on a greater urgency. Barns of today may indeed be razed and forgotten by tomorrow unless we take time now to visit them and appreciate their construction, purposes, and design as well as the life stories of the farm families who worked the land around them.
At last, this year you, your family, and friends have an opportunity to tour 4 farmsteads in and around Berthoud.

Saturday, September 14, 2024
Morning Tour – Begins at 9 am Sharp
Afternoon Tour – Begins at 1 pm Sharp
There will be a presentation at each barn every hour.
To assure that each barn has a similar number of visitors, participants will be assigned their first barn to start with. Please arrive at your starting barn at least 5 minutes early so that the presentation of the barn and the farmstead/family history can begin at the top of the hour (9am – morning tour or 1pm – afternoon tour). Once you have explored the barn and learned about the family farm, you will return to your car and drive to the next barn on the list.
There will be a presentation at each barn every hour.
Docents will be sure to stop in time for folks to drive safely to and arrive at their next barn before the top of the hour. There will be signs and balloons to help you find the next barn as you get closer.
Reserve Your Spot!
