A bustling agricultural center of southern Larimer County, the Little Thompson Valley and the town of Berthoud, Colorado, has served as the stage for events that have ascended to front page news in local newspapers. Borrowed from tabloids that range from the
Berthoud Blade and Berthoud Bulletin to the Berthoud Weekly Surveyor, “Newsworthy Berthoud” provides a glimpse of life in small town Northern Colorado from the community’s origin in the 1880s to the present day.
Images from the Berthoud area—known as the “Garden Spot of Colorado” since that name was bestowed upon it by the local Chamber of Commerce in the early 1900s–enliven this calendar and pictorial history that examines various aspects of life in the
community over the years.
