Berthoud was carved from the raw prairie by hardscrabble homesteaders who crafted their days with hard work. Their labor passed to farmers, migrant laborers, business and professional people who took great pride in building the community that became a thriving business center of southern Larimer County, Colorado.
This calendar is a tribute to the workers of Berthoud and the beloved community that they first described as the “Garden Spot of Colorado” in the early 1900s. Photographs come from the collections of the Berthoud Historical Society and its friends who invite you to celebrate more than a century of “Berthoud at Work.”
