Flower: Deep pink to violet double blooms with a paler pink center and button eye; 41+ petals, 1½ inch blooms in early summer
Size: H 2-3 feet W 2-3 feet
Fragrant flower, bush forms a dense three foot mound with small, dark green leaves, attractive in the landscape even when not blooming. It was elated when found growing in the historically reconstructed gardens at Mt. Vernon; apparently a favorite of President Washington. AKA – Pompom de Bourgogne
