Be a Part of the Jenny Fagan McCarty Rose Garden

The Jennie Fagan McCarty Rose Garden at the McCarty-Fickel Home was completed and a dedication ceremony held in the Summer of 2021. The garden features an elegant steel fence with engraved paving stones, a beautiful bronze sculpture, benches, a rose arbor, ornamental plantings, and of course, nearly 20 beautiful roses. The garden has become one of the striking features of Berthoud’s historic 6th Street Neighborhood.

The “open” garden design encourages visitors at any time of day or year. Feel free to drop by and get a feel for this unique gardening project that enhances the grounds of the historic McCarty-Fickel Home. 

The careful nurturing of the garden will commence again early next spring so now is the time to get on board and sponsor a plant(s) or feature(s). What a unique and special gift that would make!

We invite YOU to be part of the Rose Garden by sponsoring one of our many roses, an engraved paving stone or architectural feature in the garden!

The Garden will also have 6×9 pavers, inscribed with a message of your choice.  Proceeds contribute to the Berthoud Historical Society Endowment and the BHS Garden Group.
